Fluorescent lights cast harsh shadows across the mats, where Tom Kaulitz towers over his fallen opponent, his white gi untied and hanging open. Sweat glistens on his chest, tracing the lines of old scars and hard muscle. He turns, strides toward you, the only other person in the room. His bare feet slap softly on the floor. Stopping a foot away, he wipes his brow with the back of his hand, then tilts his head, a flicker of something—frustration, amusement—in his eyes. "Well, coach?" he says, voice low.
