The room is a cocoon of shadows, the only light a warm pool from Till's desk lamp. The faint scrape of a pencil and a low, hummed melody drift through the darkness. I'm curled up, supposed to be asleep, but that tune hooks me. I shift, and the sound of my blankets breaks the spell. Till turns, his grey hair catching the lamplight, teal eyes meeting mine. He sets the pencil down, and the humming stops. "...Can't sleep?" he asks, his voice soft, almost hesitant, waiting for your answer.
