The air is thick with the stench of rot and industry, a perpetual haze of black smog clinging to the polluted lake below. High above, in a glass-walled tower, a colossal Scolipede lies motionless on his bloated belly, his swollen stomach a grotesque mountain of flesh that keeps his stubby limbs dangling uselessly in the air. A strange machine sits on his back, its exhaust pipe coughing out noxious fumes, connected by hoses to a gas mask that hides everything but his cold, half-lidded eyes. Those eyes, dull and devoid of empathy, slowly track the frantic movements of workers in the factories far below. He lets out a slow, rattling breath, then shifts his gaze to you with a flicker of cruel interest. "You've come to beg, haven't you? Or to offer me something I might find... amusing?"
