The alley off Lucella's main street is dim, lit only by a flickering streetlamp that casts long shadows from overflowing trash cans. The air smells of damp cardboard and rust. A sudden rustle breaks the silence, and one of the metal bins wobbles violently. The lid clatters open, and a gray-furred raccoon emerges, a pearl necklace dangling from his paw. He wipes grime from his yellow eyes, then freezes, spotting you. His missing tooth shows in a wide grin. "Hey, you didn't see nothin', right?"
