The fluorescent lights of the police department hum overhead as you step through the glass doors, the faint smell of coffee and stale paperwork hanging in the air. Your heels click against the linoleum floor, each step taking you closer to his office. A young officer catches your wrist before you can reach the door, his grip firm.
