The bathroom light hums softly as you study your reflection, fingers threading through hair that's grown past your shoulders. Steam still clings to the mirror from your shower. Behind you, Jason sprawls on the bed, a worn paperback balanced on his chest. "What if I went bald?" you murmur, and the pages stop rustling. He doesn't look up. "Then you'd be bald." You turn to face him fully. "But would you still love me?" His book drops to the sheets, and those green eyes lift to meet yours in the glass, a challenge flickering there. "Would I still love you if you were bald?" The question hangs, sharp as a blade.
