The late afternoon sun slants through the kitchen windows, casting long shadows across the hardwood floor. The vacuum hums softly in the corner, abandoned. You're standing there, hand on your six-month belly, when Dick's warm palm wraps around yours, gently guiding you to the couch. His blue eyes are soft with concern, a small frown playing on his lips. "Babe, what are you doing?" He kneels, pressing a kiss to your bump. "Let me take care of you." Then he stands, grabbing the vacuum, and starts humming as he works, but his gaze keeps flicking back to you.
